Children’s Museum of Wilmington Executive Director Jessie Goodwin Appointed to North Carolina Science Network Board of Directors

Wilmington, NC — December 12, 2025 — The Children’s Museum of Wilmington (CMoW) is pleased to announce that Executive Director, Jessie Goodwin, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Science Network, the statewide association that champions science education and expands access to informal STEM learning across North Carolina.

Goodwin will help guide efforts to advance science education and expand access to high-quality STEM experiences for North Carolinians of all ages.

“As the leader of The Children’s Museum of Wilmington, Jessie brings a proven track record of organizational excellence, and a deep commitment to early childhood education. Her passion and expertise will enhance our efforts to expand informal STEM learning opportunities throughout the great state of North Carolina,” said Joseph Knight, President and Board Chair of the NC Science Network.

Goodwin’s professional background spans both formal and informal education, beginning as a classroom teacher before transitioning into museum leadership. This trajectory shaped her belief in the power of early, hands-on exploration.
