The Children’s Museum of Wilmington Participating in "Our World: Worldwide Day of Play" on September 26th

Wilmington, NC — September 14, 2026 — The Children's Museum of Wilmington is thrilled to participate once again in Our World: Worldwide Day of Play on September 26, 2026. As a day dedicated to experiencing joyful learning through play, this event is focused on getting kids and their families up, out, and playing around.
The Children's Museum of Wilmington will be hosting a celebration of play on September 26th featuring pop-up programming and more opportunities for play to show families how everyday play can lead to lifelong learning. Children and families are invited to participate in this event by stopping in to the Museum anytime between 9am and 5pm. No special event tickets are needed.
“While we celebrate play daily, we are excited to participate in a global celebration highlighting that play transcends culture, language, and borders,” said Program Coordinator with the Museum, Anna Harris. “We hope families will come play with us on Worldwide Day of Play!”
Our World: Worldwide Day of Play is part of Nickelodeon’s Our World global initiative to inspire kids and provide them with tools to activate their individual and collective agency.
