The Children's Museum of Wilmington to Host 5th Annual Feature Friday Summer Programming

Wilmington, NC — June 1, 2026 — The Children's Museum of Wilmington is excited to host their 5th Annual Feature Fridays programming this summer from June 12th through August 21st!

Feature Fridays is a special summer program that highlights local organizations making a positive impact in the Wilmington community. These sessions give children and their caregivers the opportunity to learn about the important work of local organizations – what they do and how they contribute to the well-being and growth of the community – through the power of play and new experiences.

"Since 2022, we have seen significant growth and increased interest in Feature Fridays," says Jessie Goodwin, the Executive Director at the Museum. "Our community is home to many amazing organizations that we are honored to call partners. I can't think of a better way to show how we work with our community to support our community!"

In honor of their 5th Annual Feature Friday, the Children's Museum will be hosting double the number of features this year, totaling over 20 different local organizations that span a wide range of interests and industries. With some returning favorites and many first-time organizations, the Children's Museum of Wilmington is preparing for fun and educational experiences that emphasize the spirit and joy of our community.

• 8/14: The Thalian Association's Community Theatre (Morning) and The Wilmington Arena Project (Afternoon)

• 8/21: Coastal Carolina Rabbit Rescue (Morning) and the Bellamy Mansion (Afternoon)

*These features have an outdoor component that is free to the community in addition to an indoor component included with the purchase of general admission tickets

Feature Friday programming is held every Friday during the summer from 9:30am - 11:30am and 12:30pm - 2:30pm. The programming is included with the purchase of general admission tickets and is open to all Museum members.

The Museum is dedicated to offering interactive and fun events like Feature Friday that encourage positive childhood interaction and memorable youth experiences.
