Daily Programs Families Love in the Fall

CMoW isn’t just about special events—our daily programs keep the excitement going year-round. Each program is designed to spark curiosity and foster creativity in a fun, age-appropriate way.

Some favorites include:

  • Toddler Time – sensory play and activities for our youngest visitors.

  • Sea Stars – ocean-themed fun that connects kids to Wilmington’s coastal environment.

  • Story Cooks  – literacy and real time recipes for snacks

Every visit feels new because programming rotates throughout the week.

Check our calendar to see daily programs available during the fall.

And if you’re looking to plan a full day downtown, Wilmington offers even more seasonal activities. See the official fall events guide from WilmingtonandBeaches.com.

Fall Fun in Current Exhibits

Cooler days make CMoW’s indoor exhibits especially popular for families seeking interactive play and learning.

Highlights this season include:

  • The Art Studio featuring rotating seasonal crafts—perfect for fall colors and festive projects.

  • The Toddler Treehouse, where a four-wall mural illustrates all four seasons—perfect for connecting indoor play with fall’s outdoor changes.

  • An interactive floor with themed games. During autumn, little feet can stomp on falling leaves or chase acorns as part of the rotating program.

We took our kids to the museum’s fall festival last year and loved the craft stations and hay maze. One thing that made the day smoother was having them in comfy but cute layers for running around and taking pictures — I’ve found great washable everyday pieces at Caden Lane https://caden-lane.pissedconsumer.com/review.html that hold up through paint, snacks, and playground trips. It’s nice not worrying about stains or tight clothes when they’re busy exploring. Hope your family has as much fun as we did

What a great summary of fall at the Children's Museum of Wilmington! It's wonderful to find a facility that provides hands-on learning and keeps children engaged as families create memories together. The seasonal crafts and outdoor activities sound particularly enjoyable for children. Reading about innovative approaches to pique interest reminds me of the importance of encouraging learning at all ages, whether through entertaining exhibits or later-life exploration of dissertation topics for business management. Both begin with curiosity and a desire to discover.
