Wilmington, NC — July 20, 2025 — The Children’s Museum of Wilmington is excited to announce the ribbon cutting for their newly refreshed Neighborhood Nook exhibit in partnership with Salt Air on Friday, July 24th at 10:30am.

The Neighborhood Nook is a popular exhibit area of the Children's Museum of Wilmington that features (newly named!) Charlie's House, an upgraded playhouse for littles, and the Giving Tree. The Neighborhood Nook invites children to experience everything from imaginative play to nurturing a sense of belonging, responsibility, and wonder for the world around them. The Children's Museum of Wilmington is thrilled to work with Salt Air Inc. to refresh this iconic exhibit area, helping to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences for littles in our community.

"We're incredibly grateful to partner with Salt Air, a company that shares our commitment to strengthening our community and investing in local families," said Allan Lusk, Director of Advancement at the Museum. "Their support of the Neighborhood Nook helps us advance our mission of providing hands-on opportunities for children to learn, explore, and grow through play. Together, we're creating a space where imagination can flourish and every child can experience a sense of belonging and wonder.

The recent partnership through the Neighborhood Nook refresh reflects Salt Air's ongoing commitment to supporting organizations that strengthen the quality of life for families in Southeastern North Carolina and add value to the community. "Supporting the Children's Museum of Wilmington is an investment in the next generation, and we are proud to be part of its continued growth and success," said Brooke Skipper, Vice President of Salt Air. "As a locally owned company, we believe in giving back to the communities that have supported us for so many years [and] the Children's Museum of Wilmington plays an important role in encouraging creativity, imagination, and learning [in the community]."

The ribbon cutting ceremony is open to all Museum guests and families in the community that wish to participate. The celebration will officially kick-off at 10:30am on Friday, July 24th.
