The Children’s Museum of Wilmington Launches Virtual 10th Annual YachtVenture

DOWNTOWN WILMINGTON, NC - The Children's Museum of Wilmington (CMoW) is proud to celebrate its 10th Annual YachtVenture fundraiser virtually. Keeping in the theme of 2020, YachtVenture is going virtual this year and the Museum needs your support. Supporters can still make a difference in the lives of children of southeastern North Carolina. The Museum is encouraging the community to support this local nonprofit that has been serving the area for 23 years, by making a donation, buying raffle tickets or bidding in the popular silent auction.

Auctions items include a beach escape to a private barrier island, exclusive wellness packages, and sunset cruises. One lucky raffle winner will win a $3,000 credit to The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Resort. Tickets are $100 and only 200 will be sold. The winning raffle ticket will be drawn Saturday, October 24th at 7:45 p.m. Bidding for the silent auction closes Saturday, October 24th at 10:00 pm. The Museum has also set-up a GoFundMe Donation page for supporters to make a donation. Please visit yachtventure.org for details on the auction, raffle and donation page.

“Now more than ever The Children's Museum of Wilmington needs the community's support,” states CMoW Executive Director Jim Karl. “After being closed for six months, including the normally busy summer season, we have a significant financial deficit to overcome, and a successful YachtVenture is a key component to that.”

CMoW thanks supporters for continuing to make the Museum a safe and engaging place for children to play to learn. All proceeds support the Museum.
