The Children's Museum of Wilmington Hosts "Family Farm Day", a Visitor Favorite Event!

Wilmington, NC – The Children's Museum of Wilmington is thrilled to present Family Farm Day, an annual event featuring live farm animals on Saturday, May 17th, from 9 AM to 12 PM. The Museum will be hosting a petting zoo from McNally’s Farm in the courtyard of the Museum, where children and their caregivers can get up close and engage with a variety of farm friends.
Visitors of all ages can look forward to meeting chicks, bunnies, goats, and more, as well as participating in farm-themed activities throughout the morning! In addition to these special experiences, guests can enjoy all the Museum’s usual hands-on exhibits for the whole day.
“Family Farm Day is one of our favorite annual events,” said Anna Harris, Program Coordinator at the Museum. “It’s a chance for children to engage with unique animals, ask questions, and connect with the world of farming. We’re excited for a morning of animal encounters and farm-themed play!”
Highlights of the Event:
A pop-up petting zoo featuring chicks, ducks, goats, bunnies, chickens, and a pig.
Group line dancing lessons throughout the event
A take-home garden surprise!
Tickets are $5 for members and $15 for non-members and can be purchased at playwilmington.org/farm.
