The Children’s Museum of Wilmington to Present Harriett Loweth with Kid's Captain Award at Annua

DOWNTOWN WILMINGTON, NC – On Saturday, November 10th, at 8:15 p.m., The Children’s Museum of Wilmington (CMoW) will present Harriett Loweth with its first annual Kid’s Captain Award at the Museum’s YachtVenture fundraiser. YachtVenture, CMoW’s fundraising event of the year, will be held at Bradley Creek Marina from 5 to 9 p.m.

Harriett has a long-standing role in our community. She has been involved with the CMoW since its formation in the late nineties and was a key player in both the Junior League of Wilmington, NC and Circle of Friends organizations which spearheaded the incorporation and growth of the Museum. Harriett has served on nearly every CMoW board committee and officer position, including multiple years as its President. Together with her husband Bob, she has provided generous philanthropic support throughout the life of the CMoW. Harriett has been a tireless ambassador for the Museum to the greater Wilmington community for numerous years, securing financial support from both individuals and corporate donors.

About Yacht Venture: For one evening, the Museum will bring together some of the finest yachts in the area, including three yachts over 60 feet and two 1930 Elcos. Stroll the docks, wine and dine, and imagine yourself cruising up and down the Intracoastal Waterway. It is the perfect coastal showcase of everything that makes Wilmington and its surrounding area special.
