Welcome to The Children's Museum of Wilmington!

Welcome to The Children's Museum of Wilmington, a downtown destination dedicated to helping children learn while they play. Everything we do at CMoW is for the children! We offer hands-on, interactive programs and exhibits for kids up to age 10.

Here's a sample of what you can do!

Size: 17,000 square feet

Eye Catcher: Ahoy Wilmington! features a pirate ship where kids can pretend to steer the ship and swab the deck.

Permanent Mainstay: The Dimock, Weinberg & Cherry Toothasaurus Dental Exhibit keeps kids up-to-date on dental health as they explore a child-friendly dental office.

Don't Miss: The Publix and Publix Charities Community Market encourages kids to grab a kid-sized shopping cart and shop, work the register, check customers out and bag their groceries! One of the museum favorites, the grocery teaches children the importance of nutrition, making healthy choices at the grocery store, basic math skills, and real world applications.

Hidden Gem: In the Forest Friends Toddler Treehouse, kids four and under can host a tea party, slither down slides, and even ride an elephant.

Pro Tip: While the Museum doesn't have a snack bar, patrons are welcome to bring food and eat in designated areas. We are around the block from local, family-friendly restaurants.

Uniquely CMoW: Kids can explore the ocean or paint in 3D with the nCino Virtual Reality Experience or immerse themselves in all things animal at the Pet Supplies Plus Animal Alley exhibit. Planet Fitness Kid Power also gives kids a fun way to expend energy while learning the importance of always being active!
