What A Wonderful World

On Saturday, February 9th from 9AM to 12PM, The Children’s Museum of Wilmington will host, “What A Wonderful World” to showcase the beauty and uniqueness of different backgrounds and cultures. The event will be packed with numerous performances that will make a lasting impression.

A Ugandan kids choir, comprised of a group of 10 talented children, will delight audiences with traditional African songs and dances.

We will also have performances by Irish Fiddlers from the Stevenson-Stohl Suzuki Studio, the Coharie Tribe, and dancers from the Walsh Kelly School of Irish Dance.

Art with Refugees, the traveling exhibition of artwork by refugee children from around the world, will also be on display. The artwork - shipped from Greece - brings awareness to, and support of, better living conditions for refugees.

We have also partnered with students from a local high school who will demonstrate how to make Mexican tamales and an indigenous dish from Peru.

In addition, there will be Chinese New Year crafts in our Art Room where children can make paper lanterns and dragon head puppets.
