The Children’s Museum of Wilmington to Hold Annual YachtVenture Fundraiser

DOWNTOWN WILMINGTON, NC – On Saturday, November 10th, from 5 to 9 p.m., The Children’s Museum of Wilmington (CMoW) will hold its largest fundraising event of the year at Bradley Creek Marina from 5 to 9 p.m.

For one evening, the Museum will bring together some of the finest yachts in the area, including three yachts over 60 feet and two 1930 Elcos. Stroll the docks, wine and dine, and imagine yourself cruising up and down the Intracoastal Waterway. It is the perfect coastal showcase of everything that makes Wilmington and its surrounding area special.

New this year to YachtVenture is Heaven Hill Distillery who is sponsoring a whiskey tasting. Local craft brewer, Edward Teach Brewery, is brewing a limited edition beer ‘Shipwrecked’ just for the event. Dinner will be provided by Sawmill Catering Company and feature an open bar. Music will be provided by Rob Ronner. Guests can enjoy bidding on luxury items in the silent auction and one lucky raffle winner will have their choice between three all-inclusive luxury vacation packages.

"YachtVenture is a casual yet upscale event that is very unique to the Wilmington community," states Heather Bowman, CMoW Development Coordinator. "Enjoy eating, drinking, live music, and more all in the beautiful coastal setting of Bradley Creek Marina. This is a great outdoor event for a wonderful cause which is to support The Children's Museum of Wilmington."

All proceeds support CMoW’s mission to educate and inspire imaginative, independent thinking through hands-on science, math and art experiences. To learn more and purchase tickets, please visit www.YachtVenture.org.
