  • Q: How is the Museum funded?

The Children’s Museum of Wilmington is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit. We do not receive funding through the state and our main source of income is through grants, donations, and admissions.

  • Q: I recently purchased a Groupon, are there any restrictions on when I can use it?

Groupons can only be used on non-event days or after the special event has ended. We typically have a special event once a month, either on Friday from 5-7 pm or Saturday from 9am - 12 pm. Be sure to check our calendar on our website to make sure you are not coming in on a special event day.

  • Q: Does my membership at the Children’s Museum of Wilmington give me admission or discounts at other museums?

Our ACM Reciprocal Membership includes half price admission in more than 150 children's museums in the United States! This is made possible through our affiliation with the Association of Children's Museums. Museum members will now receive HALF OFF admission to our Ocean Isle partners, the Museum of Coastal Carolina and Ingram Planetarium.

  • Q: Does the Museum have a parking lot?

No, the Museum itself does not have its own parking lot. There is meter parking in front of the Museum along Orange Street. These meters accept credit cards as well as quarters, dimes, and nickels. On Second Street there is free 1 hour parking with no meters.

The Hannah Block USO parking lot across the street from the Museum offers the following parking rates

    • Hourly: $1.25
    • Daily: $7.00
    • Monthly: $50.00

The closest parking deck to the Museum is located on Market Street between 2nd and Front. The first hour is free. The free blue trolley can pick you up and drop you off in front of the Museum.
