Volunteer

If you have a love of learning, a friendly disposition and the willingness to spend a few hours each week working with children, then The Children's Museum of Wilmington invites you to be part of our volunteer program. Anyone 14 years or older may apply for our volunteer program, which offers flexible scheduling 7 days a week. Volunteering at The Children's Museum of Wilmington is a fun, rewarding, one-of-a-kind experience!

Some of the many volunteer opportunities include:

  • Maintenance
  • Safety Patrol
  • Play Specialist
  • Field Trip Assistant
  • Birthday Assistant 

Other Requirements Include:

  • Applicants over 18 will be required to fill out a background check and pay a $15 fee
  • Applicants 14-17 will need to turn in a completed parental consent form
  • All volunteers fill out the volunteer application and attend Volunteer Orientation

CIRCLE OF FRIENDS is a group of women who have a mission for The Children's Museum of Wilmington.  We want to creatively promote and support its goal and aspirations to increase fun and learning in early childhood education.
