Teddy Bear Hospital

Welcome to the Teddy Bear Hospital. Take a look around the room to see where everything is located. You can get started by picking a bear off the shelf and sit and read books in the waiting room with the couch and table. Your child can put a lab coat on and pick up a medical well bear check-up form. Using the instruments provided in the jars and baskets answer the questions on the sheet. You can weight the bear on the scale and measure the height of the bears body using the measuring stick painted on the wall. Use the tongue depressors, syringes, gauze, band-aids, eye patches, ace bandages, reflex mallet to give your bear a complete check-up. Take your bear to surgery and put on a scrub lab coat, hat and mask to check the bear’s heart beat using the stethoscope, the bears blood pressure using the blood pressure monitor located in the baskets in the window seal. Look at X-Rays using the X-Ray machine. Now take your bear to conduct lab work using the pipettes, tubes and microscope and look at real slides. The main focus for this exhibit is to allow your child to become comfortable with a doctor office setting.
