Courtyard

Welcome to our Courtyard! Take a look around the courtyard to see what activity you would like to do first. You and your child can play hop scotch, race up the huge spider web, climb like a monkey on the horizontal climbing wall, wiggle like a worm as you crawl through the large tube, and walk on the balance beam. Under the arbor with the gravel is the exciting fossil dig pit where you can find sharks teeth, dolphin’s teeth, sting ray fossils, coral, shells and even turtle poop-and yes you can keep everything that you find (ask the front desk for a fossil bag to take your treasures home) There are giant Lego’s over on the patio for you and your child to create and design the coolest tower in the world. Feel free to play with the water tables in the middle of the courtyard and the bubbles. This exhibit promotes fun body fitness integrated into fun challenges.

Caregivers will learn valuable injury prevention tips while visiting the Courtyard. There are 8 educational stations: Bike and Helmet, Playground, Stranger, Water, Pet and Animal, Plants, Car Seat, Hydration. All thanks to the Injury Prevention Team at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Our School Bus Greenhouse is also located in the Courtyard.

The Courtyard is home of the Muddy Buddies Weekly Garden Club, Cardio Chaos, Splash into Summer, Mud Day and our Annual New Year's Noon Celebration(s) 12/31 and 1/1 each year!
